At Miramar Physiotherapy you can feel assured about the ability of your physiotherapist as we all have extensive postgraduate training and experience.

We are committed to ongoing education and regularly undertake training to keep up-to-date with the latest treatment options.

PAUL KUGGELEIJN

Physiotherapist

Paul is a senior physiotherapist and co-owner of Miramar Physiotherapy with over 34 years of private practice experience. He holds postgraduate qualifications in manipulative therapy and acupuncture and has extensive sports physiotherapy experience. Paul is known for his meticulous assessments and attention to detail, with a strong ability to identify underlying or less obvious causes of pain that can sometimes be missed. He is currently the physiotherapist, alongside Rhys, for the Miramar Rangers Premier Men’s football team.

JULIE NORRIS

Physiotherapist

Julie is a senior physiotherapist and co-owner of Miramar Physiotherapy with over 37 years of experience in New Zealand and the UK. She is a skilled manual therapist having completed the Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 1996 and has a strong interest in posture-related and muscle imbalance conditions. She believes in a holistic, whole-person approach to care. Julie is passionate about healthy lifestyles and has a strong understanding of women’s health issues, enabling her to provide thoughtful, individualised treatment.

RHYS MISCHEWSKI

Physiotherapist

Rhys graduated from the University of Otago in 2023 and is a dynamic, compassionate physiotherapist with a strong focus on personalised care. He takes a holistic approach to rehabilitation and is currently the physiotherapist, alongside Paul, for the Miramar Rangers premier men’s football team. Rhys has recently completed an advanced postgraduate certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy COMT). 

GLORIA SINGH

Physiotherapist

Gloria is a passionate physiotherapist dedicated to helping people move well and live better. She provides personalised care for a wide range of musculoskeletal and general physiotherapy conditions, using a combination of hands-on therapy, targeted exercises, electrotherapy, and expert guidance to relieve pain and restore movement. Originally from beautiful Fiji, Gloria is fluent in both English and Hindi, allowing her to connect with and support a diverse range of patients.

SABINE NOWOTNY

Receptionist

Sabine has worked at Miramar Physiotherapy since February 2020. She moved to NZ from Cologne in Germany and is now happy to call Wellington her home. In Germany, Sabine trained and worked as a Pharmacy Technician. She loves to be part of a local family business and is looking forward to greeting you at reception.

DEB PAGET

Receptionist

Deborah Paget, better known as Deb, is the friendly face at the front desk. She’s worked as a receptionist with Paul and Julie for over five years and genuinely loves what she does.When she’s not manning the desk, Deb enjoys hitting the gym, giving golf a go, and planning her next family adventure. A real family girl, she also works part-time at a small primary school in Miramar and loves being part of the local community
