FORMTHOTICS (ORTHOTIC INSOLES)
Many lower back, hip, knee, and leg injuries can be influenced by altered foot biomechanics, such as excessive pronation or “flat feet”. These altered mechanics can place increased stress on joints and soft tissues further up the body.
Formthotics are custom-fitted orthotic insoles designed to help correct foot position, improve alignment, and reduce unnecessary strain during walking, running, and sport.
Formthotics may help to:
- Improve foot and lower limb alignment
- Reduce stress on joints and soft tissues
- Support recovery from injury
- Improve comfort and movement efficiency
Your physiotherapist will assess whether Formthotics are appropriate for you and ensure they are correctly fitted and tailored to your footwear and activity level. When indicated, they are often used alongside exercise rehabilitation to support long-term improvement.
