BRACING & SUPPORTS
Bracing and supports are used to reduce stress on injured joints or body parts, providing additional stability and protection during recovery, daily activity, or return to sport.
When fitted correctly, bracing can be useful for:
- Low back pain
- Osteoarthritis
- Post-fracture support
- Severe ligament injuries
Bracing and supports may also help to:
- Improve joint stability
- Reduce pain and swelling
- Protect healing tissues
Your physiotherapist will assess whether a brace or support is appropriate for your condition and ensure it is correctly selected and fitted. Bracing is used when needed and is typically combined with exercise rehabilitation to support recovery and prevent recurrences.
