OUR
PHILOSOPHY

Miramar Physiotherapy is proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Paul Kuggeleijn and Julie Norris, who share a strong, patient-centred philosophy of care.

Paul and Julie believe that every patient’s problem matters. They are committed to going the extra mile to fully understand and address each individual’s injury or condition—looking beyond symptoms to identify underlying causes. Where appropriate, they also work closely with other health professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible outcome.

Paul and Julie have been running Miramar Physiotherapy since 2001, building a trusted reputation within the Eastern Suburbs community through consistent, high-quality care.

Miramar Physiotherapy was awarded Accreditation status in 2004 and has continually maintained its Accreditation and Certification by meeting the rigorous Allied Health Services Sector Standards (AHSSS) and ACC Requirements for Physiotherapy Services. This enables the clinic to maintain its Allied Health Services contract with ACC, giving patients confidence that their care meets nationally recognised standards of quality, safety, and professional best practice.

Paul and Julie live locally in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs and value the active, community-focused lifestyle the area offers. They are parents to two sons, Luke and Ben, who are now young adults and both have been serious competitive swimmers. Luke is also a national-level triathlete. Through their family’s close involvement in swimming, running, cycling, and triathlon, Paul and Julie have developed extensive experience and insight into the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of endurance-sport and overuse injuries.

This combination of professional expertise, personal experience, and strong community connection underpins everything they do at Miramar Physiotherapy.
